REVIEW: I think I have found the solution to one of the things I hate doing: putting roughing spray on cards. No matter how careful I am, I either spray too much or too little. What’s worse is that the fluid gets all over everything. Now Harry Robson has created a little bar of solid roughing material that seems to work just as well as the sprays without all of the hassles.
You rub the bar on the back or front of the card, and you are good to go. You have complete control of how much or how little you put on. More importantly, it goes on exactly where you want it to go without your having to mask the card with painter’s tape or create a template cutout to protect the rest of the card. You don’t have to go into the garage to spray the card either. |
Robson claims the bar is enough to create 150 rough and smooth decks. I like the product and it seems to last under most conditions. I left a packet trick in the car during a hot Atlanta summer day and the adhesive dried out, losing its gripping
property. However, a few dabs with the Roughing Sticks and I was good to go again. It was a fast fix, since no masking tape or spray is involved. For some reason it’s called Roughing Sticks with an s, even though you only get one, so don’t be surprised when you get it in the mail. Recommended. Rolando H. Santos |
